Howard Liang
Senior Vice President

Born in 1964, Mr. Liang holds a doctorate degree from Wuhan University of Technology. Mr. Liang joined Huawei in 1995 and has served as President of Supply Chain, CFO of Huawei, President of the Business Process & IT Mgmt Dept, President of the Global Technical Service Dept, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Chairman of the Audit Committee. and Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Feng Zhu
Professor

Feng Zhu is a professor in the Technology and Operations Management Unit at Harvard Business School. His research examines competitive strategy and digital innovation in high-technology industries. His work has appeared in many leading academic journals and has been covered by such media as the Harvard Business Review, Washington Post, the Financial Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Professor Zhu earned his Ph.D. in science, technology and management and a master’s in computer science at Harvard University. 

Hyunmi Yang
Chief Strategy Officer

As Chief Strategy Officer for the GSMA, Dr. Hyunmi Yang is responsible for working with the telecoms companies worldwide to set the vision and strategies for the global telecoms industry, identifying future opportunities that will advance and shape the development of the mobile industry. She has been engaging closely with the CEOs and executives of the 800 telecoms companies across 220 countries, and successfully driving international collaboration for executing the strategies.

Wen-Syan Li
Senior VP

Dr. Wen-Syan Li is Senior VP of SAP SE and Head of SAP Customer Innovation & Strategic Projects – Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China. He is responsible for predictive analytics capabilities and innovative applications on  SAP’s in-memory database HANA, customer co-innovations, and strategic R&D projects in Internet of Things. He received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University (USA) and an MBA degree in Finance. He is based in Shanghai.

Peter Lam
Managing Director of Engineering

Mr. Lam is primarily responsible for the planning and operation of the fixed and wireless networks of HKT which support a wide range of quadruple-play telecommunications services including voice, data, broadband, interactive multimedia service, mobile and corporate customer projects in Hong Kong and overseas. Mr Lam has more than 40 years of experience in engineering & sales marketing of ICT industry. He is the chairman of the of the Joint Utilities Policy Group from 2012 to 2015 and he is currently the President of Fixed Network & Value Added Services Group of the Communications Association of Hong Kong

Jerry Smith
Chief Operating Officer

Jerry has spent his career in the agency business, blurring the ‘line’ for better integration: above-the-line, below-the-line, through-the-line. His philosophy is that there are only two lines that matter: the ‘deadline’ and the ‘bottom line’

 

He was responsible for setting up Consulting Services in Asia in 2003, Ogilvy’s production business, RedWorks, in 2005 and more recently the group’s e-commerce practice. He has led OgilvyOne, the world's pre-eminent Customer Engagement agency, with offices in 14 countries across Asia Pacific since 2010.

Carlos Valero
IT Strategy and Architecture Director

Carlos Valero is the Vodafone Group IT Strategy and Architecture Director, responsible globally for the definition of the Strategy for BSS & OSS, the IT Operating Model, the reference architecture and the vendor selection. Carlos joined Vodafone in 2012 and as the CIO for Vodafone Spain. During the previous 16 years he worked for the Telefonica Group in different roles and geographies, including CIO of Telefonica Mexico and Central America, Operational Risk Director for Telefonica Latin-American and Group IT Delivery Director. He holds a computer science diploma from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Trevor Cheung

He has more than 20-years experience in business and technology leadership, specializing in providing thought leadership, formation of industry segment and creation of best practice.

Randy Heffner
VP and Principal Analyst

Randy Heffner is a vice president and principal analyst at Forrester Research, a global technology industry research firm. He was formerly a chief architect at Sprint. Randy’s research at Forrester centers on how enterprises can transform business agility and strategy by leveraging a wide range of technology trends. His key research focus areas include Integration strategy, solution architecture, APIs, and the ways in which technology strategy reframes business strategy.

Niall Richard Murphy
Head of Ads Reliability Engineering

Niall Richard Murphy is the head of Ads Reliability Engineering for Google Ireland, where his group is responsible for the infrastructure underlying the overwhelming majority of Google's annual revenue. He is the instigator, co-author and co-editor of "Site Reliability Engineering" (O' Reilly, 2016), and is the holder of degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, and Poetry Studies. He lives in Dublin with his wife and two sons.

Biart is responsible for driving multiplatform content distribution opportunities for VIMN’s international business. He first joined VIMN in 2011 as Country Manager based in Antwerp, where he oversaw MTV’s European mobile brand licensing operation, focusing on identifying and driving new international partnerships, outlining product strategy, developing marketing strategy and creative campaigns.

He has formed and led a high performing analytics team in an Analytics Centre of Excellence and worked with a wide range of organisations across Europe. Peter has supported senior executives in preparing strategies and plans for the exploitation of big data and analytics as well as led governance and project offices of large scale analytics deployments in both traditional and digital environments and across multiple sectors.

Simon Burton
Chief Executive Officer

Simon has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry. He is currently Chief Executive Officer at Celebrus Technologies, a real-time Customer Data Platform company. For the past 12 years Simon has taken Celebrus from inception through to its acquisition by D4t4 Solutions Plc in 2015. During his tenure, Simon established Celebrus as a world leader in the provision of customer data to power analytics and personalisation.

 

Prior to joining Celebrus, Simon worked in senior management roles for both US and Japanese companies in the Data Management sector, establishing their international offices and developing successful go-to-market strategies. 

Jonathan Hopkinson
Senior Director for Analytics

Jonathan Hopkinson is the Senior Director for Analytics within Huawei Global Technical Services, and serves as Principal Analytics Architect and Technology Diplomat for the Open ROADS Community.

 

As a leader of the TM Forum Customer Centricity area, he has been instrumental in defining CEM Metrics, plus Maturity, Lifecycle and ROI Models.

 

Formerly Head of GSM/UMTS Development at Motorola, Jonathan has over 25 years experience of wireless R&D, service development and customer care. Jonathan holds over 10 granted patents covering wireless network performance, and is a certified NPS practitioner.
