Earlier this year, we asked 53 telcos globally to put the Open Digital Maturity Model (ODMM) to the test. The Community fielded a digital ODMM assessment, garnering over 100 responses from telcos’ cross-discipline leaders.
The goal was to take a pulse of the industry toward establishing a benchmark, with the objective of further redefining the ODMM and building insight and best practice.
Overall, the study found that the industry is not yet digitally mature. Organizations generally score better on dimensions such as Digital Technology and Data Centricity, but fall short when it comes to customer experience, strategy, culture, and innovation.
